SPICE Bar & Restaurant was inspired by Akshe Bhardwaj, the head chef at previously awarded Michelin star restaurant Junoon in New York. Akshe was interviewed in the schematic design phase and inspired the idea for the spice wall as well as the open space concept for patrons.
The restaurant features an architectural spice wall to greet patrons at the main entrance. The booths are enclosed by arches that were inspired by the Taj Mahal. The feeling of the space is warm and welcoming with the dimly lit atmosphere are the colors reminiscent of many Indian spices. The focal point of the space is a custom curvilinear bar in the shape of a J as a nod to Junoon, the original restaurant inspiration. |
