This is a showroom design for Marwoolus, a material conceptualized and patented by the Italian designer Marco Guazzini. The target consumers for the showroom are designers, architects and builders who are interested in using unique materials in their designs.
Organic, curvilinear shapes are incorporated throughout the showroom, to mimic the fluid nature of the wool in Marwoolus. Lighting is used to emphasize these curves architecturally throughout the space. The two primary materials that compose Marwoolus, marble and dyed wool, are infused throughout the design and the secondary color scheme of the wool is showcased. The layout of the showroom is open, and the reception area flows directly into the showroom. Private office spaces are easily accessible from the open reception area, and the sales office is adjacent to the showroom so customers can easily approach sales associates to inquire about Marwoolus. |
